FT6900A combined super high power DC electronic load

The FT6900 series of ultra-high-power DC electronic loads adopts the high-speed real-time array control technology of international advanced level, which realizes the module stacking structure of super high-power electronic load, and the modules are connected by external cables.

The FT6900 features a stacked module design for high reliability and maintainability. At the same time, the product inherits the traditional features of Faith's high-power electronic load: rich in functions, strong adaptability (strong anti-self-excitation ability), and high reliability.
The products are mainly used in electric power electronic testing fields such as electric vehicle charging devices, power batteries, high-power DC power supplies, and DC generators.

The FT6900 series is divided into three voltage specifications of 150V, 600V and 1000V. The single power range is from 15KW to 54KW, and the maximum current is 1620A. Can accept the user's individual needs, customize products up to 1200V, maximum 500KW.
The FT6900 includes basic test modes such as CC, CV, CR, and CP. Dynamic test and sequence tests are also available to simulate various dynamic load changes with transient frequencies up to 20KHz. The user can also simulate a short circuit operation by pressing a button.

The FT6900 features a power battery (or super capacitor) capacity test and internal resistance test. This gives it a unique advantage in battery and supercapacitor testing.
The FT6900 has a rich interface, friendly interface and easy operation. The TFT color display, knobs and numeric keys on the front panel allow quick operation and setting on the load. The FT6900 provides RS232, LAN, GPIB and other communication interfaces. These interfaces are connected to the computer and can be easily controlled remotely using standard SCPI programming instructions.
The FT6900 electronic load provides over-current, over-voltage, over-power, over-temperature, voltage inversion, and other protection functions. It also has Von, Voff function and programmable protection for the device under test. These features greatly enhance the reliability of the product and are a trusted product for engineering test and automated test system integration.

Functions & Advantages

Steady state function

The FT6900 series electronic load has constant current, constant voltage, constant resistance and constant power modes. These operating modes can be used to meet a wide range of test requirements. For example, constant current and constant resistance modes can be used to test whether the output voltage can maintain a stable output under different load conditions. For battery chargers and vehicle charging posts, the constant voltage mode changes the output voltage of the charger and charging post to verify that the output current is correct at different output voltages.

Dynamic function


    To meet the growing demand for high-speed testing, the FT6900 series of electronic loads offer high-speed programmable dynamic test functions (current dynamics and resistance dynamics). The dynamic test can be based on setting the load value high/low level, T1/T2 time and switching slope. This feature is often used to test power supply dynamics. In order to meet the needs of different occasions, the dynamic functions include three modes: continuous, pulse and flip. Continuous transient mode provides up to 20kHz of carrier frequency for your testing.

 


Sequence function

The FT6900 Series provides sequence testing capabilities to simulate more complex load changes. The sequence test consists of four modes: CC, CV, CP and CR. Up to 4 sequence files can be stored, and each file can be set up to 50 steps.

Protective function

The FT6900 series offers a full range of protection features such as overvoltage, overcurrent, overpower, overtemperature, and voltage inversion. In addition, the user can set the voltage, current, and power protection values as needed. When the output voltage of the device under test rises or falls slowly, the Von and Voff functions can be turned on. Von's load voltage supports both locking and non-locking modes. The comprehensive protection function ensures the reliability of the product and is a reliable product for engineering test and automatic test systems.

Battery test function

        Internal resistance and capacity are important technical indicators of the battery. To facilitate battery testing, the FT6900 series provides battery testing. Battery testing includes: battery internal resistance test and battery capacity test. For battery discharge, the FT6900 series offers three discharge modes: constant current, constant resistance and constant power. In terms of battery discharge measurement, it is possible to measure discharge time and discharge capacity (AH and WH).

       The FT6900 series load provides professional ESR measurement functions, supports a variety of measurement standards, and has the advantages of accurate measurement and repeated measurement stability, which can effectively evaluate the ESR parameters of automotive batteries and super capacitors.

        The CC and CV functions can be continuously controlled by an external voltage signal (DC or AC). For example, if the load is currently in CC mode, the range is 300A, and the external programming input voltage is 1~2V (peak-to-peak) and the frequency is 1000Hz, the load input current changes as shown.

SCPI and remote control


The FT6900 series electronic load supports standard SCPI commands, and all functions of panel operation can be realized through SCPI commands. This provides convenience for the establishment of intelligent test platforms and secondary development of users. The FT6900 series realizes remote control of electronic loads through RS232, LAN, GPIB and other interfaces.
